Important Information Concerning Your Memorial

The loss of a loved one is a difficult time, particularly for those involved in making memorial arrangements.

We consider it important to bring to your attention this information concerning memorials in order to prevent any dissapointment or misunderstanding.

The Eltham Cemetery Trust is responsible for maintaining the appearance and atmosphere of Eltham Cemetery.

It is important when you are ready to finalise memorial details for your loved one, that you contact the Secretary to discuss details.

Within the memorial lawn sections regulations apply governing bronze plaques and vases in order to maintain the Trust’s desire for consistency throughout the cemetery.

All plaques must be authorised by the Secretary prior to manufacture and must comply with specified size limitations.

The purchase and installation of bronze plaques for lawn sections may be arranged with the Secretary.

Alternative suppliers may be sourced if so desired.

Only cemetery approved plastic vases will be allowed and are available for purchase from the cemetery. Plastic flowers, glass jars, ornaments and planting are not permitted.

Within the designated monumental sections of the cemetery, memorial monuments should be arranged with a stonemason of your choice in order to comply with cemetery trust requirements.

An authorisation fee applies to all memorials.
